Annie Lesser began making short documentaries and music videos for local bands when she was 14. When she was 15 she made her first short film "Sticks Don't Break My Bones." Since then she has written and directed five other short films, including a cinematic adaptation of ee cummings' poem "l(a". Annie has scored, costume designed, and created the artwork for every short film she has produced, written, and directed. In the summer of 2007 Annie worked as a film artist apprentice to the city of Chicago through Gallery 37, where she co-wrote, shot, sound designed, and cast a feature length film for the Chicago Department of Aging.
